Columbia University sought to strengthen community engagement with and increase visibility for their $5 billion fundraising campaign. Their goals? To highlight the link between campaign giving and Columbia’s impact around the world, to celebrate and share achievements across the University's many schools, and ultimately to attract attention and create a buzz across Columbia and for the Office of Alumni and Development.
"Giving Shapes Our World" is driven by a web strategy built on interactive storytelling, bringing campaign impact to life. Content strategy and photography capture the people and places at the heart of each incredible story. The site was launched with great success in the Summer of 2011, immediately gaining recognition within Columbia and with donors. It's been widely acclaimed in the design industry, including a feature as a Web Pick of the Day in Communication Arts.
