A New Face in Online Broadcast Video
One of the early entrants to broadcast over IP television, RayV set out to change the way the world experiences TV online. While they had the technology to make this a reality, RayV needed a brand to cut through marketplace clutter, a user experience to strengthen their product, and an acquisition marketing site to drive adoption for beta testers. We delivered on all fronts, helping to launch RayV into the digital media landscape.
A New Kind of Broadcast Brand
We wanted to help RayV announce that the old model of big network publishing was dead. Their new logo design is a modern take on the classic broadcast network identities, reinforcing RayV's status as a web technology innovator with bright type and bold colors that jump out from a dark backdrop.
The RayV Experience
We partnered with RayV's engineering team in Israel to help speed development of their beta product, focusing our attention on strengthening the user experience and extending RayV's new brand to the user interface. RayV’s redesigned media player balances visual punch with intuitive functionality to deliver a superior brand experience.
Building an Audience
We helped RayV build their community by creating an acquisition-driven website that tells the company's story, inviting users to join the exclusive beta launch of their network. As a result, RayV quickly gained ground on already established players like Hulu. Upon release of their full product and service, RayV's technology was adopted by media brands around the world including Direct TV, The NBA, and Fox Soccer Channel.

“MSDS developed a stellar new identity for RayV and then translated our brand into a great user experience for our product. That’s not easy to do. It’s almost impossible to find this level of integrated skill and service across disciplines ranging from brand strategy and ID to user experience in one specialized firm.”
