Information Architect
MSDS is looking for a web Information Architect (IA) to work with our design and development teams. Since 1999, MSDS has specialized in creating award-winning work for high-end B2B, retail, and non-profit clients. Excellent opportunity to work with an established boutique studio, and provide a leadership role on large-scale interactive projects. This is NOT a visual design position.
As Information Architect you are responsible for the organization, navigation, interaction design, and business/user process engineering for leading-edge websites and software. You will apply IA methodologies to translate user needs, business objectives, and technology capabilities into standout interactive experiences.
Responsibilities
- Help define client’s business objectives and requirements and user needs
- Create and revise IA documents including but not limited to: experience briefs, site maps, user profiles, user scenarios, use cases, wireframes, content matrices, flow diagrams, and functional spec requirements.
- Understand and apply the latest user experience trends and best practices for addressing design challenges.
- Participate in client meetings and working sessions
- Ability to work with design and technical teams in a collaborative fashion
Requirements
- 3 years minimum IA experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred in design-related discipline
- Well-versed in user-centered design methods and techniques
- Excellent analytical and process-oriented skills
- Experience in UI design
- Strong knowledge of multiple web browser/platform issues
- Experience working in MAC and Windows environments
