Texting All Websites! Texting All Websites!
Armed with a grant from the National Science Foundation, Scientific Media developed technology that changed how people use text messaging by developing a mobile publishing platform to serve content between websites and cell phones. What they needed to go with their technical innovation was a way to turn it into a memorable brand that consumers and businesses alike would turn to when they wanted to connect on the go.
The Internet for Text Messaging
Like lots of technology startups, DotGo was driven by an engineering culture. Our challenge was to turn the company's revolutionary concept into a brand audiences could understand and relate to. To help speed adoption in the market, our brand strategy positioned DotGo as a new mobile technology for consumers—and a valuable publishing vehicle for business. A custom logotype and vibrant color palette anchor DotGo's new identity, communicating the precision and efficiency of their technology.
A Simplified Message for SMS
Sending SMS messages to websites represented a paradigm shift in how people understood text messaging. To create behavioral change, DotGo needed to connect with audiences ranging from end users to publishers, advertisers and web developers alike. Following audience and market research, we developed a segmentation strategy to serve content to each audience, with a user experience to support it. Simplified messaging clearly communicates DotGo’s promise to each audience at the right times, while an interactive simulator allows users to experience it for themselves.
From Technology to Tools
After a successful debut at DEMO, DotGo’s platform has begun the transformation of SMS into a powerful mobile publishing framework for brands to connect with audiences on the go. After helping them establish their brand, MSDS has since designed the user experience for their web-based publisher, making it easy for any website owner to program in their patented Concise Message Routing Language (CMRL).

Testimonial
“It’s not easy to convey new technology and usage concepts with simplicity. MSDS breathed life into our brand and helped create a positive user experience for each audience we are targeting. What impressed me most was their ability to understand our technology and then translate it into an emotional brand that resonates. They threaded the needle beautifully for us.”
